Dynamic Coating Technology
Dynamic Coating Technology provides controls for the key parameters of the liquid coating process. As a result, the VersaCoater™ XL can handle a wider range of difficult to coat substrates than any other coater, and offers more options for modifying the thickness and aesthetics of the graphics finish. Flexible controls on the VersaCoater™ XL include:
- Adjustable coating thickness controls from 2 to 20+ microns
- Independent top and bottom roller speed controls
Variable roller speed allows you to adjust coating texture from fine to heavy
- The XL80 model features split, dual phase lamp technology allowing you to run curing lamps at full or partial power to reduce energy consumption.
Widest range of substrate and printer technology
The versatile VersaCoater™ XL is engineered to handle most graphic substrates: flexible or rigid cut sheets up to 3” (75mm) thick, or roll to roll media*. Compatible with output from virtually any inkjet technology, including UV-curable roll-fed and flatbeds, and solvent or eco-solvent roll-fed models.
Full width coating capability
Extra large EDPM covered stainless steel rollers minimize roller deflection, ensuring accurate coating out to 1.6 metres or 2 metres (60” or 80”).
More performance features assure easy operation and maintenance
Multiple supply tanks make coating changeover a breeze. Advanced features such as automated cleanup and precise nip control contribute to total ease of use.
